Who we are

PG Songs is the music of Pristine Grace, run by Brandan Kraft. This policy covers the pgsongs.com website, the PG Songs app for iPhone, iPad and Mac, and the Pristine Grace account you can sign in with. That account lives at www.pristinegrace.com and works across the Pristine Grace sites.

The short version: you can listen without an account. If you make one, we keep what you save so it follows you from device to device. There are no ads, no tracking across other companies' apps or sites, no analytics or advertising kits in the app, and we never sell your information.

What stays on your device

The player remembers some things on your own device. These are not sent to us:

• Your settings: where you stopped in a song, volume, and your visual and display choices.
• If you listen as a guest: your favorites and playlists. When you sign in, they are brought into your account.
• Your recent plays, and a count of plays waiting to be added to your account. Signed out, they wait until you sign in.
• In the app: the songs, lyrics and covers you download for offline listening.
• A short troubleshooting note of how recent listening sessions ended (for example, “closed” or “put in the background”). It is never sent anywhere, and it is only shown when the site owner is signed in on that same device.

Clearing the website's data in your browser, or deleting the app, removes all of this.

If you have an account

Your Pristine Grace account keeps:

• Your name and email address.
• Your password, if you set one, stored only as a one-way hash that cannot be read back.
• If you use Sign in with Apple: the ID Apple gives us for you, the email address Apple shares (a private relay address if you chose Hide My Email), and a refresh token from Apple, which we use to end the connection with Apple when you delete your account.
• If you sign in with Google: your Google account ID, your name and email address, and the link to your Google profile picture.
• Your favorites, your playlists and their names. Your playlists are private; only you see them.
• Your plays: how many times you have played each song and when you last played it. This is your History. Added up across everyone, play counts also tell Brandan which songs people are listening to.
• Sign-in records. Choosing “Keep me signed in,” or signing in with Apple or Google, saves a sign-in record with the IP address and the browser or device description (user agent) it came from. It lasts up to a year. Each browser or app signed in to PG Songs also gets its own sign-in token, with the dates it was made and last used.
• Whether you get the newsletter (see below).

We use this only to run the sites for you: to show your collection on every device, keep you signed in and keep your account safe. When an account is made or deleted, Brandan may get a short email with its name and email address.

The same account works on the other Pristine Grace sites, like the reader for the book A Thought in the Mind of God. Anything you save there, such as your place in the book or a highlight, is kept with your account too.

The newsletter

New accounts, whether made with email, Apple or Google, get the occasional Pristine Grace newsletter. Every newsletter has an unsubscribe link, and you can turn it off anytime on your profile page at www.pristinegrace.com/profile.

The newsletter list keeps your email address and name. The newsletter is sent by Kit (kit.com), which receives your email address and first name. If you unsubscribe, we keep your address on a do-not-send list so it stays unsubscribed.

On the website (not in the app), the Pristine Grace site switcher may offer the newsletter to visitors who are not signed in. If you type your email address there, it is added to the list.

Who else handles your information

We share information only with the services that run the sites for us, and only what each one needs:

• InMotion Hosting runs our servers and database.
• Cloudflare carries traffic to our sites, like any network provider, so it sees your IP address and the pages and files you request. Its Turnstile check runs on the sign-in and sign-up forms to keep bots out.
• Apple and Google, when you choose to sign in with them.
• Kit, for the newsletter, as described above.

We do not sell, rent or trade personal information, we do not show ads, and we do not track you across other companies' apps or websites.

Server logs

Like any website, our servers keep standard access logs (IP address, the page or file requested, the time, and browser type) for security and troubleshooting. They are kept for a limited time and are not used to build a profile of anyone.

How long we keep things

Account information stays until you delete your account. Sign-in records expire after a year at most, and PG Songs sign-in tokens stop working after 30 days. Newsletter details stay until you unsubscribe; after that only the do-not-send entry remains. Server logs are kept for a limited time.

Deleting your account

In the PG Songs app or on pgsongs.com, tap your account button (your name, at the top of the page), then Delete account. You can also go to www.pristinegrace.com/delete-account while signed in.

Once you confirm, the deletion happens right away. It removes your account, favorites, playlists, plays, sign-in records and tokens, and anything the account saved on other Pristine Grace sites. Comments you left on a Pristine Grace site stay up, but your name, email address, IP address and browser details are removed, and they show as “Former member.” If you used Sign in with Apple, we ask Apple to revoke our access.

The confirmation has a box, ticked to start, that also unsubscribes you from the newsletter. Leave it ticked to leave the newsletter too; untick it only if you want to keep getting it.

Children

PG Songs is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child under 13 has made an account, write to us and we will delete it.

Our YouTube uploader

We publish some of our lyric videos to our own YouTube channel with an automated tool that uses the YouTube Data API. That tool is authorized only by the channel owner and only uploads videos, titles, descriptions, captions, thumbnails and playlist entries to that one channel. It does not access, collect or store any visitor's Google or YouTube data. Use of YouTube is governed by the YouTube Terms of Service and the Google Privacy Policy.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted here with a new date at the top.
