But you who trusted Christ Himself

He went down to the grave Himself,
He knows the path you tread,
He is with you in your dying,
He is the Lamb who bled.

The verdict has already come,
You stand among the free,
The blood that bought you bought you whole,
You're His eternally.

So close your eyes, the dawn is near,
The morning is ahead,
The same Lord who has held you here
Will raise you from the dead.

The body fails, the eyes grow dim,
The breath begins to fade,
The Lord who thought you into life
Has held you and has stayed.

And on the other side, dear soul,
The Lamb will speak your name,
Your face unveiled before the throne,
You stand outside of shame.

So this is not a parting, friend,
It is a being known,
The same Lord who has held you here
Will hold you on the throne.
